The Sidekick is the ultimate instant messaging, text messaging cell phone product. Most sidekicks have a keyboard for two handed typing. T-Mobile
provides the sidekick. If I were a teacher, I would ban this product from my classroom!
The sidekick has up to 4.5 hours of talk-time, and 3 days of standby time. It houses a removable lithium ion battery. There are no aftermarket faceplates for the sidekick. It uses
a miniSD memory card - so memory is expandable. The frequency bands are as follows: GSM 850, 1800 and 1900. It weights about 6.7 ounces or about a half a pound.
